Welcome to another edition of Ideas here on my newsletter Light Years. For my newer followers who don’t know what it is, it’s basically a monthly post where I list my top 10 ideas from around the web which I really liked or found intriguing, enough to list in this series. Somehow, we’ve reached the 10th edition of ideas, essentially “ideas that shape the universe”, as the tagline to my Substack newsletter suggests(which I try to adhere to). So here’s the La Decima equivalent of my posts of Ideas, and although Real Madrid won their Decima several years ago, here’s the 10th edition of Ideas on this newsletter. I hope you find the links interesting. Here we go:

Light Years Ideas Of The Week #010
The Fae Overlay
Today we stand on the Eve of Beltaine - Walpurgis Night - May Day - a magical threshold revealing how the mysteries of rebith, unborness & the invisible realms take us thru an infinite portal seen from the inside out & the outside in…
Can you feel how the Fae are stiring in the elements with power & purpose? These spirit-beings, are of a middle nature betwixt the human being & the Angels. For they are creatures of light & energy -of ‘force’ rather than ‘form’ - they can shift their shape as needed, since they are not bound by the laws of the physical world.
In our present age, a new awareness of these beings is reigniting, as folk are awakening to the reality of worlds beyond the limit of the 5 senses. The spirit energies behind Nature are especially potent & accessible during these Cross-Quarter times - & more & more folk are cultivating relationships with the Elemental Beings. These seekers have traditonally been visionaries, poets & artists, but really anyone who is not unduly influenced by the modern materialistic world-view can work with them.
It seems that with the ongoing world swirl, we are especially called to reconnect with these Beings of Light who share our home planet. When we deny, ignore; or even worse, pollute, degrade & lay waste to the land, sea & skies, we are destroying their world, too. We tear apart the exquisitely woven tapestry of all creation.
And so it is that the spiritual beings behind these elements push to bring messages into our consciousness thru the various world crises. A wake-up call urging us to change our ways from living in selfish separateness, to an awareness of our inter-connectedness with all beings, visible & invisible, in the great Web of Life.
Friends, we don’t need exculsive psychic powers to connect with The Fae – just the willingness to open the heart & mind, as a child might do.
Look around, & notice 4 natural things that are calling out to you. Send a vortex of light from the Sun thru your heart & connect with them in the way that each needs. Then extend that connection to everything around you.
‘See, my eye - The Sun’s pure rays - In crystal forms of earth.See, my heart - The Sun’s spirit power - In waters surging wave.See, my soul - The Sun’s cosmic will - In quivering gleam of air.See, my spirit - The Sun’s indwelling gods - In fire’s streaming love’~Rudolf Steiner
Perhaps you might ask for a message from the Elemental Realm. Open to receive impressions that may come to you. The response may manifest as a feeling, or a movement of light, a sparkling out of the corner of your eye, a rising within of a joyful energy; or it may come as words or images in your mind’s eye. Be open for signs from the animal kingdom - bird or insect movements, wind - or calls that may carry a message for you. Send back Harmony, Love & Gratitude…
It helps to be consistent, to reach out & connect thruout the seasons. Be a spiritual scientific researcher & document your impressions – Which can reveal hidden patterns. What is the communication like in the mornings, at high-noon, at sunset or midnight…?
Elemental Chorus: Human Spirit receive now a message from the Gnomes – We are the Elemental Beings of earth: (System of movement: Metabolic organization) “You dream yourself - And shun awakening. - I maintain the power of root nature, - It creates for me the body of forms. O human being – Strive to awaken”! *** Human Spirit receive now a Message from the Undines – We are the Elemental beings of water: (System of movement: Rhythmical system) “Your think the deeds of angels - And know it not. - I bestir the water’s power of growth, - It creates for me substance of life. O human being - Think in the spirit”! *** Human Spirit receive now a Message from the Sylphs – We are the Elemental Beings of air: (System of movement: Nerves and senses) “Creative might shines to you, - You divine it not. - You feel its strength and live it not. I quaff the airy force of life, It fills me with the power of existence. O human being – Live and create a cosmic breathing existence!” *** Human Spirit receive now a Message from the Salamanders – We are the Elemental Beings of fire: (System of movement: Warming the “I”) “Divine Will offers you strength, - You accept it not. - With its strength you can Will, - Yet you thrust it from you. - I consume the striving power of fire, - Into spirituality of soul it releases me. O human being – Receive in love the will-power of the gods!” *** Gnomes: O human being – Strive to awaken! Undines: O human being - Think in the spirit! Sylphs: O human being – Live and create a cosmic breathing existence!” Salamanders: O human being – Receive in love the will-power of the gods!” “Thus you can see that what lies beyond the threshold is part of our own nature, you see how it takes us into active divine forces, into what lives and works in all forms of existence. Calling to mind this quote from Goethe’s Faust: Grant me a vision of Nature’s forces - That connect the worlds; all its seeds and sources - And innermost life – all this I shall see, - And stop peddling in thoughts that mean nothing to me…” ~Rudolf Steiner, “Symphony of the Creative Word”
Beltaine Blessings ~hag
3 May - UNION w/ ~hag at the Bridget Center This indoor and outdoor celebration offers the opportunity to learn about how ancient traditions honored this season of greening, bird song, plantings, birth and fertility, and how our old and new traditions and actions can align and contribute to the healing and abundance of the natural world. Learn from storyteller-wisdom keeper-interdenominational minister Hazel Archer Ginsberg about the Celtic tradition of Bealtaine and how other ancient cultures revered these seasonal markers in the Cycle of the Seasons. We will offer gratitude and blessings to the land, soil, plants, and all those that care for and steward the earth and its animals by making and applying biodynamic farm preparations to enliven and restore the soil. We will learn about Bridget’s Gardens, its permaculture design plans and participate in planting perennial native wildflowers, black currants, red osierdogwoods, willows, and elderberries. Come plant with us and take some home too! Clark Stamm (Acting Director of Bridget Center, Permaculturist, and Artist), and Angela Curtes (Grounded LLC and fellow Bridget Center Mission Circle member) will facilitate these activities.
