Dear Fellow Traveler - Will you glide with me down the Egyptian River Nile? – the world's longest River, flowing Northward – which is rare – shaping Africa, for over 4,000 miles, to pour into the Mediterranean Sea. Riding the River Nile - Source of Life – It’s paradisical headwaters twin-forth from two sources: The White Nile, in equatorial Africa; & The Blue Nile, in the Abyssinian highlands. What will arise in me when I stand in the boat like Isis, to search the waters for her Beloved. What will I hear in the winds stirring the red Cario market dust – or lofting my Hot Air Ballon over the Valley of the Kings? … What will the stars be like as I lay my head in a Nubian village. Will I be able to solve the riddle of the Sphinx? Or see the eye of Ra atop the pyramid at Giza? Yes, the ancient silica will speak when I walk in the sands at Luxor… Yet, & still, from the start there is a persistent vision of sun stroke at the Philae Temple Complex, a transporting to the Ritual Island of Isis, in a Festival overlay, with the rising of the Nile … hmmm - Forewarned, as they say, I shall prepare now. I am going to step into the past to meet the future.
