Forward this email to a friend The Head and Not the Tail August 31, 2026  by Timothy Burt Deuteronomy 28:13 (NLT) “The Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always be on top and never at the bottom.”  When God spoke these words through Moses, He was speaking to the nation of Israel. He was describing the blessing that would come as they listened to Him, obeyed His commands, and walked in His ways. Israel would become the head and not the tail—strong rather than being oppressed and brought into submission by pagan nations. He would help them become influential rather than dominated, and be a nation that leads and shows the world God's ways rather than continually being led by the pagan nations around them. We live under the New Covenant today, so we don’t simply take every promise God made specifically to Israel and claim it for ourselves without understanding its context. But there is a powerful principle here that reveals something about God and His ways: that is, walking closely with God produces fruitfulness. I believe that is one of the best definitions of biblical success. Jesus said, “This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.” — John 15:8 (NIV) God’s success is fruitfulness in accordance with His purpose for your life. So, what does that look like in everyday life? It might mean becoming a better husband or wife because God’s Word teaches you to listen, forgive, serve, and love each other. It could mean raising children who learn faith, responsibility, integrity, and respect because they see those qualities modeled in you. At work, it might mean becoming the person others can depend on—the one who keeps his word, works diligently, treats people well, solves problems instead of creating them, and can be trusted when no one is watching. Financially, God’s wisdom can teach you stewardship, generosity, patience, and self-control. In friendships, you can become someone who encourages, speaks truth in love, prays, and helps others make wise decisions. Simply put, wherever God places you, things should increasingly become better because you’re there. That’s fruitfulness. And that’s one way I understand the principle of being “the head and not the tail.” God teach you—teaching His people how to walk in His ways and be fruitful. It doesn’t mean you’re better than other people. It doesn’t guarantee you’ll have more money, hold the highest position, or avoid hardship. It means you’re learning to influence rather than merely be influenced, lead rather than simply follow, and lift others rather than merely look after yourself. Your life becomes and example in bearing fruit throughout the areas of your life. That is being the head and not the tail. Something happens when you consistently walk with God. His Word shapes your thinking. His wisdom affects your decisions. His Spirit develops your character. You grow in integrity, diligence, patience, faithfulness, compassion, courage, self-control, and discernment. Those qualities have real-life consequences. Over they years, God teaches you forgiveness, and your relationships become healthier. He teaches you self-control, and you stop making impulsive decisions that hurt you. He teaches you diligence, and your work improves. He teaches you humility, and you become teachable. He teaches you faith, and fear stops controlling your decisions. He teaches you wisdom, and you begin recognizing problems before walking straight into them. Imagine the difference those qualities can make over twenty, thirty, or forty years! That’s why walking in God’s ways can position you differently in this world—not because you’re superior to anyone, but because God’s ways work. They bear fruit—something every person desires for their life! Daniel is a wonderful example: “Now Daniel so distinguished himself among the administrators and the satraps by his exceptional qualities that the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom.” — Daniel 6:3 (NIV) I love that phrase: “Daniel so distinguished himself.” His relationship with God showed up in the way he lived. That’s God’s kind of success. You might own a business or work for someone else. You might manage hundreds of people or no one. You might be raising children, enjoying retirement, serving at church, caring for someone you love, or simply trying to be a good neighbor. The position isn’t what determines success. Fruitfulness does. Ask yourself: Is my family stronger because of the person I’m becoming? Does my workplace benefit because I’m there? Are my decisions becoming wiser? Do people become encouraged, strengthened, or wiser through my influence? Am I becoming more useful to God and others? And here’s an important truth: God’s blessing doesn’t merely help you rise; it equips you to help others rise. God gives you wisdom, and you give wisdom away. God develops character in you, and your example influences others. God teaches you to overcome something, and eventually you help someone else overcome it. That’s why being the head isn’t primarily about being above people. It’s about being positioned by God to lift people and help them become better! That is being fruitful! That is being the head and not the tail! Jeremiah 17:7–8 (NIV) “Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him… They will be like a tree planted by the water… and never fails to bear fruit.”  Prayer: Father, help me walk closely with You and allow Your Word and Spirit to shape every area of my life. Teach me your wisdom and help me to be faithful, fruitful, and a blessing wherever You have placed me. As You strengthen and bless my life, use me to lift and strengthen others. Forward this email to a friend Helping Others Move Forward August 28, 2026 by Timothy Burt Colossians 4:12 (NIV)  “Epaphras… is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured.”  I have always believed that one of the greatest purposes we have as Christians is to help people come to know Jesus, help them discover and walk in God’s will for their lives, and then pray for them as they grow into everything God has called them to be. When I read about Epaphras, I see a beautiful picture of that kind of Christian. Paul said Epaphras was “always wrestling in prayer” for other believers. And notice what he was praying for: “that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured.” Epaphras wasn’t merely praying, “Lord, bless them.” He was praying them forward! Think about what happens when someone moves from one home to another. A moving team shows up, picks up what is too heavy for you to carry alone, loads it, travels with it, and helps get everything into the new place. Good movers don’t keep your belongings. They aren’t trying to make your old house their house. Their job is simply to help you get from where you are to where you need to be. What a picture of Christian ministry! God brings people into our lives who are in the process of moving spiritually. Some are moving from unbelief to faith in Jesus. Some are moving from spiritual infancy toward maturity. Others are moving through a difficult season into something God has prepared for them. They may be moving from confusion toward clarity, from fear toward faith, from hurt toward healing, or from uncertainty toward confidence in God’s will. We aren’t their destination. Jesus is. Our privilege is to help them move forward. Sometimes that means sharing the Gospel. Sometimes it means teaching someone what God’s Word says. Sometimes it means offering wisdom or encouragement. Sometimes it means simply being there when life becomes heavy. And sometimes the greatest help we can give them happens when they aren’t even in the room. We pray. That is what Epaphras did. There are people in your life right now who may never know how much your prayers are helping move them forward. They may not see the spiritual battles being fought by you on their behalf. They may never hear the prayers you whisper early in the morning or late at night. But God hears every one. Prayer can carry things people cannot carry themselves. When someone is discouraged, you can pray strength into their situation. When they are confused, you can pray for wisdom and direction. When they are tempted to quit, you can pray that their faith will stand firm. When they are trying to discover God’s will, you can pray that the Holy Spirit will lead them clearly. This is especially important with the people God has entrusted to us—our spouse, children, grandchildren, friends, coworkers, church family, and those we disciple. Don’t merely pray that God makes their lives easier. Pray them forward. Pray that they know Jesus more deeply. Pray that they recognize God’s voice. Pray that they discover His purpose for their lives. Pray that they mature spiritually. Pray that they stand firm when opposition comes. Pray that they become everything God created them to become. These types of prayers are the prayers that every Pastor I know, prays over their congregations. What an incredible purpose for our lives: helping people get to their next place in God. And someday in Heaven, we may discover that some of the greatest things we accomplished on behalf of others, weren’t things anyone ever saw us do. They were accomplished on our knees. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NIV) “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”  Prayer: Father, help me to be like Epaphras. Show me the people You have placed in my life whom I can help move forward spiritually. Help me encourage them, strengthen them, point them toward Jesus, and faithfully pray for them. Teach me to pray beyond their immediate circumstances and to pray that they will stand firm, mature, fully assured, and walk in all Your will for their lives. Hazel Archer-Ginsberg Aug 26   READ IN APP   In exploring life as an Earth Citizen – I have taken up a Science of the Spirit which gives me clues & keys to unlock the open secrets of Natura. Putting down roots in the rolling hills of Wisco - the big sky Dairy State of the Heartland recently, I have developed a whole new relationship to the essence of Spirit which animates Nature. The wonder & reverence which I cultivated in my city-life, has deepened into a communion that manifests as a reciprocal co-creation. And the reality that I am living into more & more is that the Elements of Earth, Water, Air & Fire are inhabited by ‘Elemental Beings’ – knowingly named by occultists & in the classic fairy-tales as: Gnomes, Undines, Sylphs & Salamanders. The very clever Gnomes are in charge of the Earth Element fostering mineralizing forces & root growth in plant-life - for they are bearers of the ideas of the Cosmos inside the earth. The dreamy Water Sprite Undines live & work, swimming & floating, in all the fluid activities - They are the invisible chemists binding & releasing their dreams of the singing stars, which is at the same time their own form in a state of eternal metamorphosis – giving shape to the leaf system in the plant. The Sylphs populate the air element. They inspire the song of the birds with light, with which they vibrate into the air to create the flower. As bearers of cosmic love into the atmosphere, the Sylph embodies the human wish for Love & Light. The Salamander Fire Spirits or Spirits of Warmth channel the candescence of the Sun into the fruiting & ripening, by empowering the flying insects, especially the pollinators, enveloping the bee & butterfly in their effulgent aura, to convey radiant warmth to the reproductive organs of the plant in a sacred marriage that spiritualizes substance – promoting an out-streaming - a cosmic shimmering - that also attracts the human being to descend again into incarnation. So, yes, the Elemental beings are of the essence of the Elements they work thru, a refined gossamer woven from astral & etheric forces - which dwell in space, producing fundamental effects, especially in the plant world, but also in the mineral, animal & human kingdoms - as well as in the astral & etheric realms which we all share, manifest thru the Seasons & thru weather patterns, etc… But they aren’t visible to the untrained human eye since they don’t hold any mineral content of their own. The super-sensible Etheric or Vital ‘Life’ body which every living thing has, choreographs matter into living form – without it, our physical form would fall into decay & the body die. The more rarefied Elements of the Etheric Realm with its Light Ether (connected to Air/Sylph ) - Tone Ether (connected to Water/Undine) - & Life Ether (connected to Earth/Gnome) – with Warmth Ether as the intermediary bridge between the physical & ethereal elements held up by the Fire Beings (the Salamanders). These higher Supernal expressions arisen in the Ethers of these Elements must be taken into account if we are to get a true understanding of the Elemental Beings. What is becoming crystal clear thru the study we have been striving to make practical with the Zinniker’s, our Biodynamic farmers, is that IF these beings are ignored by humanity – IF we do not cultivate a Spiritual Cognition – IF our understanding stops with the external material aspect - IF we as human beings don’t consciously engage with them - then there is a strong possibility that these Spiritual Beings will be cooped by adversarial powers that seek to inhabit them – to take them over & use them for destructive purposes. Could this be one of the many occult causes behind the violent weather patterns? IF the Earth is to become what it was originally Divinely Destined to Become, Humanity must consciously choose to acknowledge & work with these Spiritual Entities - Ever awakening to the dangers that threaten our evolution IF we let the adversarial powers take possession of these Supra-Natural forces. It is essential that our knowledge reach beyond the physical – so that we can, in good Faith, work with the Formative Forces which shape the form wherein Spirit dwells. The sooner we realize the significance of Spirit in every thing, the sooner we will be able to understand the world & its happenings – there is nothing more important in our time now, dear Earthlings – for these relationships are the foundation that will allow us to co-create benevolent change. If we do not, then we are like ostriches who bury their heads in the sand when confronted by something they fear - or those who stand by as the bully attacks their neighbor – or those lukewarm muggles who only care about their own comfort… Elemental Beings are always entering into our souls whether we are conscious of it or not. We are always sending out ‘feelers’ into the sense world, & the Elemental Beings that are enchanted into all the things of the world slip into us. IF we are not working with them redemptively this causes three things: It is the source of fear (& anxiety) -The source of hatred (& distrust, war, racism, bigotry…). The source of doubt (& an inability to distinguish between illusion & reality). Fear & anxiety arise when an unconscious hatred of the Spirit kills something in us, & causes a paralysis of our will. This fear arises in our thinking because the specter of hatred which wishes to stamp out Spirit has become entangled in our feeling life. Hatred arises when doubt of the Spirit pushes down the thinking life – burying the head in the sand - laming our will. When we are in fear, hatred or doubt, our soul forces of thinking, feeling & willing are co-opted - firmly tied to the physical body - this is the consequence of the soul always perceiving the world only with physical organs. The first step to breaking the cycle of fear, hatred & doubt which work to enslave our soul forces, begins with Faith, which begets Love, & Hope. Thinking, as one of our soul forces, can be transformed into a Spiritual organ, it can free the entire soul from the physical body, because in thought we don’t need to be bound to physical laws. We can use our thinking to create concepts that apply Imaginative Cognition – conceiving something that does not rely on the physical sense world. The moment we do this we are already freeing our souls – We don’t need to be a clairvoyant to understand & apply Spiritual Science. We need only use our thinking in a way that creates inner pictures which free the soul. By freeing our thinking, we can access the Etheric Realm where the Christ imbued formative forces work. The moment we free our thinking, it is objectively outside us - there before our meditative gaze, & in this way we can begin to discern the essence of the Elemental Beings – especially those that have been enchanted inside of us personally. This brings us the experience of our ‘double’ – where our etheric body is full of Elemental Beings, which we have unconsciously taken in. This allows us to become aware of what has been causing our thinking, feeling & will impulses – the good the bad & the ugly - giving us a glimpse into the karma we carry within us, now made conscious. When we ennoble these Elemental Beings by acknowledging them, sending them blessings, working with them, we release them from their incarceration - although they always remain with us. Thru our Faith, Love & Hope, we become a haven for these Beings - a 1st step in the Redemption of all life on Earth - as we work to Spiritualize matter.
