When the enemy huffs and puffs and tries to take me down…

I no sooner laid down last night to go to sleep when I started to hear a few words of a song. The words were, "Your never gonna let, never gonna let me down." I tried to think of something else, but I kept hearing it. I finally got my cell phone and searched for the song. The name is "King Of My Heart." He is the King of my heart!

What's really cool is this morning I kept hearing the name "Jacob." There is a man by that name in the Bible but no book of the Bible. I was not sure why God was saying that name over and over but then God then led me to a verse in the bible. Genesis 28:15 "Behold, I am with you and will keep [careful watch over you and guard] you wherever you may go, and I will bring you back to this [promised] land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you."

Like the words to the song that He gave me says. "He is the anchor in the waves. He is the fire inside my veins. He is the wind inside my sails." In other words, He is everything to me. When the enemy hits and waves come at me. I have an anchor that no storm can move. When the enemy huffs and puffs and tries to take me down. I turn the sails to catch the wind God wants me to ride. When the enemy shoots flaming arrows at me. I lift up my shield to block His attacks. Which makes the fire of God inside my veins burn even stronger, because satan had the audacity to try to attack me.

I want God in every part of my life. I want to be so close that His heart and mine beat as one. I want the fire that burns inside me for Him to be so strong that it pours through my veins. I want to do what He wants me to do. I may let Him down at times, but He never lets me down. He is a loving, merciful, forgiving God, who has so much grace it overflows.
