Subscribe here for more Response-Ability for Redemption Hazel Archer-Ginsberg Feb 23   READ IN APP   My beloved CG & I meet with the Farmers, Petra & Mark Zinniker every Sunday evening to study selected lectures by Rudolf Steiner’s on the ‘Nature Spirits’ – Since Biodynamic farming is an advanced form of organic, regenerative agriculture which integrates natural, ethical, & ecological principles, emphasizing the interrelationships between soil, plants, animals, & human environmental sustainability – We can also take into account our interaction with the Elementals Beings – the Spirit behind Nature - as well as the Planetary Spirit of the Earth herself – so that our Biodynamic farm can create ecosystems that work in harmony with all aspects of Nature - & the supranatural - to produce healthy, nutrient-rich food that feeds all worlds. Last night wewent into a deep dive about the “Redemption of the Elementals by the Human Being” – which I discovered was printed for Members of the School of Spiritual Science, Class I. These lectures take us into exalted regions - detailing our human task in the continuous evolution of the Universe. I find it particularly intriguing that the selected lecture compilation we have in book form is highly edited – some of the ‘occult’ aspects have been redacted. Here is a more complete excerpt edited by Harry Collison: “…The treasures hidden in the Christian revelation have been preserved - treasures of the primal Eastern wisdom, but renewed by means of fresh forces. They have been guarded in small circles which were the continuation of Mystery Societies, like the Guild of the Holy Grail, & in the Fraternity of the Rosy Cross. Before the 19th century, these treasures of truth were kept well-hidden - they were accessible only to those who thru severe trials had prepared themselves for the living wisdom. Only a little trickled thru here & there to the outer world – for the most part this stream remained a secret of the New Mysteries waiting to be reborn. Then came a time when some of the contents of primeval wisdom, treasured in small circles, was allowed to be given out to humanity in a language appropriate to the time. Since the last third of the nineteenth century - one can speak of this world wisdom in a more or less unveiled form. It is only because certain things have taken place in the spiritual worlds that the Guardians of the Mysteries received permission to allow some of the ancient wisdom to penetrate to the outer world. The time has come when one can speak from those ever-living sources of occultism which have been faithfully treasured in the Mysteries of the Rosy Cross. When one has to bring forth out of primeval wisdom what is presented to us through the ancient rites, one sees how grand these are, & how wrong it is to understand them superficially & not in all their profundity. They are only considered in the right way when one says to oneself: ‘No intellectual thought is exalted enough to discover the mysteries herein contained.’ Only when these ancient rites are interpenetrated by the magic of real devotional feeling, do they become what in the true sense of the word they must be — self-ennobling, purifying forces for human evolution. They point frequently to fathomless wells of human wisdom, & only when that which springs from the source of the mysteries practiced in the occult schools is allowed to stream forth from now on to all humankind, only then, will these reflections of the primeval wisdom (for they are but reflections) be seen in all their greatness. In these lectures on the redemption of the Elementals we have had to show, how in the times of primeval wisdom the co-operation of all the nature spirits which are everywhere around us, was well known, how it was also known that the deeds of the human being represent an interchanging activity between the spiritual world & the inner world of the human being. The problem of humanity first becomes important for us when we know that in all we do, even in our moods, we influence a whole Cosmos - & that this small world of ours is of infinitely far-reaching importance for all that comes to pass in the macrocosm. An increase in our feeling of responsibility is the finest & most important of all the things we gain from Spiritual Science.
