& yet dear friends, The light never goes out - it goes in - & then we give birth to it again & again.
At this potent time around the Winter Solstice, the unborn waiting to reincarnate in the coming year are gathering - right now - near the ‘Rainbow Bridge’. They are still carried in the arms of their Guardian Angels who will show them a vision of their future life on Earth. Maybe one of them is looking down at you right now, perhaps they’ll pick your family tree to add a branch to…If you are calling, when the time is right, they will come… At Advent, All of our souls are pregnant with the possibility of giving birth to the light within. Wisdom fills us with this possibility - that we may beget the Being of Love. This pure Light is a Becoming, it becomes, a rainbow, in us: shining with the colors of Hope, Truth & Beauty. In growing this rainbow within, we Become, enlightened, with Good Will, bringing the power of Peace to bear in the world. Surrendering to the awakened dreaming, we celebrate the Dark Womb Time, where the inner life is honored & nurtured, & where change is possible…Consecrating the Nativity of a new Solar year…
The future is a line arcing out in front of us - The past is a line extending behind - But space is curved - So somewhere the future meets the past, & the circle is joined in wholeness.
The esoteric meaning of this time of year can be gleaned from the Mystery Schools. When I worked with the Societas Rosicruciana in America – on the longest night we would undergo a ceremony of death & rebirth in order to enter the inner dimensions beyond the sense-bound world, to gaze upon the “Sun at Midnight.” This ceremony out-pictures the journey of the soul into the fecund depths of the super-conscious mind - into the great dark sea of Space beyond Time, from which all creation comes forth - the warm-dark womb, where the soul can be purified, & born anew – enabling the worthy initiate to attend the convocation in the Spiritual world, which occurs every year on Winter Solstice, with the Great Ascended Masters working to manifest the Divine Blueprint into Earth-evolution. Dion Fortune describes the outer aspect of this process in her book, The Sea Priestess:
