Dearly Beloved - There are ways, & means - methods, for the regeneration of human society. For me, espeically when 2 or more are gathered, it is possible to make gnosis active, practical, alive. Bringing metaphysical ceremonial reverence into manifestation - we effect change, both mico & macro. Taking up the epistemology of our cosmic memory, we can find a red tread from The Ancient Rite of the Misraim Service, which appears historically around 65 AD, thru a community in Alexandria, founded by 2 great Initiates carrying the Mysteries of Ancient Atlantis from the Ur past – The one: a Hermetic monk, Ormus, the hierophant of the Temple of Serapis, who brought the Egyptian Mysteries to - the other: The Apostle Mark; who Baptized him. What they developed in the Misraim Rite, is the evolution of the ancient Mystery essence, becoming a seeding for the new. The Christ impulse is added to the Hermetic mysteries giving rise to The Rosicrucian uniting of the symbol of Isis - the Rose, with the image of the Cross - holding the Mystery of Golgotha - The New - Resurrecting the old - Redeeming the future.
TODAY 24 November in 1905, Rudolf Steiner, who at that time, was General Secretary of the German Section of the Theosophical Society, acting as Arch-Warden of its Esoteric Section, along with Marie von Sivers, were invited to “join in a purely formal way, the Ancient and Primitive Rite of the Memphis and Misraim Order”. Steiner often spoke about how Freemasonry had become “a caricature” of its former glory - But, he emphasized, also behind it, were: “sleeping forces longing to be reawakened again – which is our work to do” Steiner reinforced how the original Spiritual Impulse wanted to be restored – “to combine the earthly and cosmic, a bridge between the visible and the invisible…to again renew the Eleusinian Mysteries.” There is a calling to awaken to the essence of those teachings. I can’t be the only one that feels the overlay of our past lives practicing the Ancient Rites? How can we find each other together in the Temple again? And what is our work now? Steiner said “it is our duty to save the Misraim Dienst to serve the future…” And we all know – The Future is Now! Steiner developed & celebrated the Rites of Misraim - which he pulled from source, & his own esoteric inspiration - adapting it to serve the needs of humanity in this present age of the Conscious Soul. Steiner’s Order, Mystica Aeterna, was the ritual section of his Esoteric School “Erkenntniskultische abrbeitskreis”. According to these teachings, starting in the 1879 with the New Michaelic Age, the time has come for the Rosicrucian Secrets to be revealed. With Rudolf Steiner, the hermetic seal was removed – The sacred vessel becoming an overflowing chalice, pouring out to nurture the seeking souls of the New Parzival in us. The secrets sacramentally spilled, become Holy Seeds - Seeds broadcast with an open hand to the world. Invisible, or ignored by most. Or, for some, the seeds become a Sun, lighting the way. - And so it is, that TODAY, 120 years ago, the way was opened, by the humble Rosicrucian Initiate Rudolf Steiner, for the New Mysteries of Anthroposophy to take up the baton - to reconsecrate the mallet – to knock on the door to the spiritual world – unlocking the link between heaven & earth - Allowing us, if we are laudable, to enter into conscious contact with the Spiritual Hierarchies, perceiving their activity in the World, working with them in ritual gesture.
