Global electric mobility technology brand Zeekr (NYSE: ZK) has made a grand entrance into Singapore, marking the occasion with an exclusive event at the iconic ArtScience Museum. The launch was attended by over 200 VIP customers, media partners, and influencers from across the region, showcasing the brand's commitment to innovation and sustainable mobility solutions.
Zeekr is the latest luxury EV brand from Geely Holding Group, a leading global mobility group headquartered in Hangzhou, China. Geely Holding, renowned for its focus on cutting-edge technology and customer-centric approach, owns and manages numerous brands including Geely Auto, Lynk & Co, Volvo Cars, Polestar, Lotus Cars, London Electric Vehicle Company, and the aerospace technology company Geespace.
The launch in Singapore marks another significant milestone for Zeekr as it expands its presence in Southeast Asia, following a successful debut in Thailand in July. With plans to expand its sales network globally, Zeekr has already begun vehicle deliveries in Europe.
Zeekr X: The Star of the Show
The Zeekr X, the brand's first model to be launched in Singapore, took center stage at the event. Built on the Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA), the Zeekr X promises an unparalleled balance of design, technology, driving dynamics, performance, and safety. The compact SUV is designed for urban lifestyles and megacities, offering a luxurious and spacious interior despite its compact exterior.
Powered by Zeekr's proprietary electric motor and battery technology, the Zeekr X delivers a blend of long-range, high efficiency, and excellent performance. Its 66kWh lithium-ion battery, positioned beneath the floor for enhanced interior space and lower center of gravity, uses nickel manganese cobalt (NCM) cells supplied by CATL. The battery offers up to 440km of range (WLTC) in the single motor, rear-wheel drive Standard Model and comes with an eight-year/200,000 km warranty.
Charging is a breeze with the Zeekr X, thanks to its 150kW DC charging capability, which can replenish the battery from 10-80% in less than 30 minutes. The standard 11kW AC on-board charger can fully charge the battery in about seven hours.
A Tech-Forward Experience
The Zeekr X boasts an intelligent, 5G-enabled digital cockpit equipped with cutting-edge technology and connected features. At its core is a Qualcomm 8155 chip, providing super-fast responses and exceptional functionality, with over-the-air software updates ensuring continuous improvement and new features.
The Zeekr Voice Assistant, an AI-powered technology, allows for natural voice commands to control vehicle features such as navigation, climate, and media playback. This ensures drivers can keep their focus on the road.
Additional convenience modes include Theatre Mode, where seats adjust for optimal music enjoyment, and Pet Mode, which maintains cabin temperature for pets and displays reassuring messages for passers-by. The security feature Sentry Mode records suspicious activity around the vehicle, storing footage securely for the driver.
Availability and Pricing
The Zeekr X is now available at the Zeekr Experience Centre, located at 9 Leng Kee Road, with prices starting at S$199,999 for the rear-wheel drive (RWD) model and S$214,999 for the all-wheel drive (AWD) model.
