I'm not sure why this was the choice I made when I might have watched something light, but it is. I won't call the documentary inspiring, but it felt real, a glimpse into a more whole picture of a life than one usually sees of those who have reached the heights, unless taken down by a scandal. I've honestly not been too big a fan of Celine's music, though I've recognized her talent, of course. And I'd never heard of Stiff Person's Disease until her diagnoses. How terribly sad. And she lets herself be seen being, terribly sad. But also, a loving mom and human person doing her best to contend with a terrible struggle. One doesn't feel they're being a voyeur in a place one doesn't belong when watching this, but rather that like Michael J. Fox perhaps, she's teaching a great many people a great deal. Including me. Quite powerful. Image from Newsbook.com | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
