(1) I went running yesterday for the first time in the new shoes. They feel fine, and I had a surprisingly good run. I like it when I get in the "zone" after the first mile. Everything starts feeling good, and afterwards, I am a new man.
(2) In keeping with a more reclusive spirit, I only left the house yesterday for meetings with my recovery coach and my new friend Denise. She and I have been holding Bible studies once a week at the Center, and I find I like her more and more.
(3) Whenever I have the urge to solve my problems by moving to another city, State or country, I find a Scripture like Amos 5:4-6, essentially telling me to repent and seek God first, and thereby live.
(4) I awoke thinking the best way to monetize my YouTube would be to put out a piano piece every single day. Requesting money doesn't help if there's not steady daily content. Being as it's challenging to get to the church on many days, I ought to do three or four songs every time I go there, and post them on successive days. This was the first thought I had waking up this morning, and I wonder why I didn't realize it earlier.
(5) Slept for three hours on coming back from Bible Study, and another six hours last night. I didn't finish the second song that had gotten into the wrong key earlier, but my thinking will be clearer this morning. Grateful to be well-rested on a new day with new energy, eager to share what life has to offer.
"Old friends pass away, new friends appear. It is just like the days. An old day passes, a new day arrives. The important thing is to make it meaningful: a meaningful friend - or a meaningful day." -- The Dalai Lama
