(1) Arriving at the Courtyard Cafe just as Brandon was preparing the coffee, I now sit at my spot in the corner, gratefully consuming a cup of Pikes Peak coffee--no cream, no sugar please. For on the 1st of the month, I now enact my new plan to save money. Cutting out all beverages in costly coffee shops, I shall consume the Courtyard coffee free of charge. I bet I save quite a bit of money, and I am grateful for the Courtyard Cafe.
(2) After losing my cool a few days ago, I ran into another musician sitting outside the local Christian cafe. Not even knowing me really, or knowing I had lost my cool, he opened up to me how he had just lost his cool and been fired from his job. But then the boss told him to get therapy and he might be rehired. A day or two later, he ran into his old youth pastor, and now he has a new church in Pullman and a new therapist.
After I shared my own story, he told me he runs the sound for that cafe and gets coffee drinks on credit. So, he said that hereafter, whenever I see him sitting there, the coffee drink will be on him.
(3) I agreed with one of the counselors at the local agency to purchase a dumb phone so I can receive texts readily but not easily send them. This is to address my "texting problem," whereby in certain states of mind I will send too many texts too quickly to too many people. The iPhone will then be reserved for a device for audio and video recording, as well as a camera. That will be worth the $200 I paid for it refurbished, my AT&T account will be transferred to the dumb phone, and I will breathe easier after I have a PTSD attack.
(4) I got a new subscriber on my Patreon, amping my monthly allotment from $47 to $52. It's moving in the right direction now. By the way, there are many more tunes on my piano channel. Thankful for YouTube, Patreon, and a certain Baldwin GP-190 concert grand.
(5) Another PTSD storm has passed. My house is clean, it's a brand new day, and the PTSD has informed my work.
"Beneath the surface of the protective parts of trauma survivors there exists an undamaged essence, a Self that is confident, curious, and calm, a Self that has been sheltered from destruction by the various protectors that have emerged in their efforts to ensure survival. Once those protectors trust that it is safe to separate, the Self will spontaneously emerge, and the parts can be enlisted in the healing process"
