This song-prayer deserves an introduction worthy of words beyond my poor ability. Therefore, I will appeal soley upon the scriptures. He said it best, what more may I add. For in Him (Christ) dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. (1)
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. [Ephesians 6:10-13]
[An Interesting Note: One insightful writer described the full armor of God as a comforter that we "sink into," rather than put on. We immerse ourselves in the protection of His love, mercy, grace, and abiding presence. And our faith in Him will keep us warm through life's times of the darkest of winters. Now, that is an armor that won't be penetrated by evil's fiery darts, nor will it wear out.]
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, [2 Corinthians:10:3-5]
"Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God." Psalm 20:7

(1) Colossians 2:9-10 NKJV. I have been meditating, pondering, deep-diving the meaning of these two verses, as well as the before and after related verses. The depth of meaning here boggles my human mind. I find the view goes far beyond any human visionary; it is a look into eternity itself. In them I find the confluence of the Old and New Testaments, yes. However, there is so much more there to be pondered. (G.W) "Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things; and give me life in your ways, O Lord." Psalm 119:37
