Fans of MAMA, here is an immersive culinary experience you would not want to miss - the iconic Thai instant noodle brand is collaboring with home-grown Thai restaurant, HUE, to present its first-ever Asia pop-up in Singapore. The event is running from 12 December 2023 to 14 January 2024, transforming HUE into a delightful MAMA paradise offering seven specialty noodle dishes and a vibrant space adorned with themed photo spots.
Welcoming guests with a larger-than-life MAMA noodles cup at the entrance, the restaurant interior is adorned with thematic decorations such as MAMA-themed cushions and most important of all, a specially curated menu presented for a limit time, just for this event.
Seven Delectable MAMA Dishes
Embark on a culinary journey with seven uniquely crafted MAMA dishes available for a limited time during the event. The menu features five mains and two starters, highlighting the original MAMA noodles and the OK Oriental Kitchen series noodles, offering a new twist to the beloved instant noodles.
Mains
Among the savoury creations is the iconic MAMA Tom Yum ($22), showcasing a fusion of MAMA Noodle in tom yum flavour enriched with minced pork meatballs, crispy pork belly, tiger prawns, Thai chili paste, eggs, culantro, coriander, and lime.
Delve into the protein-packed MAMA Beef ($22), where OK Oriental Kitchen Noodles are simmered in a robust beef bone broth infused with Thai herbs and served with chargrilled beef slices, pork lard, vegetables, and spices.
For a crunchy delight, savour the MAMA Crispy Pork Basil ($18), featuring original MAMA Noodles topped with crispy pork belly, pork lard, red chili, and Thai basil.
The menu also boasts the smoky MAMA Dried Suki ($15), a stir-fried creation blending MAMA Noodles with Thai-style Suki Sauce, kang kong, cabbage, and chicken thigh cubes.
Indulge in the MAMA Soft-shell Prawn Truffle ($22), presenting OK Oriental Kitchen Noodles stir-fried in a truffle sauce, accompanied by deep-fried soft shell prawns and tobiko Japanese prawn roe.
Starters
MAMA Lup Cheong
Begin your culinary adventure with starters like MAMA Lup Cheong ($15), a mix of MAMA Noodles, shredded fried egg, Chinese dried sausage, and more, infused with a sweet, sour, and spicy blend.
Another starter, the MAMA Meatball Larb ($13), offers a unique take on Thai larb salad, combining MAMA Noodles, shallots, cilantro, pork, and a zesty HUE house larb sauce.
We were invited for a dinner tasting and sampled the MAMA Lup Cheong, MAMA Tom Yum and MAMA Beef. The dishes are all very heavy on flavours, especially the MAMA Lup Cheong. The MAMA Tom Yum was the standout dish for us, presenting a more balanced flavour profile. The dining experience was a fun one and for fans of MAMA and those who like all things Thai, this would be a sure-fire hit.
