 | Shari Dec 1 | Silent Child ventures out on a sunlit day.
She sees daisies on a hill
And hears a dog barking in the distance.
A bird flies over her head.
A kitten mews and runs its soft fur against her legs;
She smiles,
Leans down to pet the kitten,
But she does not speak.
The baby kit totters along as Child resumes her walk.
Her hair caresses her cheeks in the breeze.
Rustling trees murmur to her as she ambles down the pathway;
Silent Child's heart sings along with what she hears.
Nature, a beautiful gift, quiets her soul.
It speaks of the love that the Father bestows on her;
Voices hope for future days.
Silent Child's heart snuggles into the Father's love;
