...we seem to have skipped Autumn entirely! Please could all parents and carers ensure that they send their children to school in weather appropriate coats and shoes, with gloves, hats and scarves for when the temperature really drops. A pair of indoor shoes would also be fantastic. If you have any difficulty providing your child with winter clothing, please contact our Pupil Support team; Mrs Hay, Mrs Swan and Mrs Byrne.
Industrial Action 8th November
Although negotiations are ongoing, it is possible that members of the Unison union will strike on 8th November and this is extremely likely to cause school closures. Please prepare for this eventuality.
Happy Campers
Our P7s had a brilliant time at Lagganlia, got stuck into all the activities and new experiences on offer and came home happy and full of news to share with their
families. Thank you to the staff who gave up their week to go with them; Ms Leang, Ms Bowie, Ms Macdonald, Mrs Bagnall, Mr Mowbray, Ms Graham and Ms Mason. A special thank you to Ms Leang who did all the dreaded paperwork months in advance and
dealt with all the last minute bits and pieces – it's a huge task and often goes unnoticed behind the scenes. Thank you also to the admin team in the office who fielded questions and have processed all the payments.
Halloween Parties
A huge THANK YOU to the PTC who ran our Halloween parties for P2-7 on Friday 27th October and have generously funded parties in school for Nursery and P1 next week. The parties were incredibly well organised and all the kids had a great time with James from JAM Parties. Well done to the P7s who rolled straight off the camp bus and into a Halloween party – great effort P7!
