Who played King Caspian in PRINCE CASPIAN AND THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER on WONDERWORKS?
WONDERWORKS was an anthology series that ran on PBS from 1984 to 1992 and featured made-for-TV films based on acclaimed children's books. Kevin Sullivan's ANNE OF GREEN GABLES may be the best known series to air on WONDERWORKS. THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA may be the second.
Produced by the BBC, NARNIA adapted the first four of C. S. Lewis' classic fantasy novels in three series. The second, which aired in 1989 in the UK (and probably a year or two later on WONDERWORKS) was called PRINCE CASPIAN AND THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER, adapting the second and third of Lewis' books. In it, the Pevensie children return to the realm of Narnia and meet Prince Caspian and later (since time runs differently in Narnia and the real world) King Caspian.
The actor who plays King Caspian (a different actor played Prince Caspian) should be well known to PBS viewers. Now 57, he's appeared in some popular MASTERPIECE series during his career, as well as the mandatory guest roles on such fare as MIDSOMER MURDERS and DEATH IN PARADISE. He comes from a thespian family and has acted on stage, in film, on radio and on television.
So who is it? Who played King Caspian in PRINCE CASPIAN AND THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER on WONDERWORKS?
Think about it and I'll post the correct answer later.
