This week, I filmed a new version of the nondenominational worship service on lament. As always, the service is suitable for older adults with Alzheimer's and other dementias.
Watch the 46-minute church service on lament here.
And here's the written agenda for lament.
One explanatory note: I create these services first and foremost for people living with dementia. I never mention specific current events, which can upset them with news they are unable to process in their current reality.
Grief, while universal and understood by people with dementia, can be triggering, so in this service I intentionally focus is on the positive: that God is good and is working to redeem. I know there is so, so much more we as believers can and should do when grievous events happen, including to vote, protest, work to build bridges and heal hostilities.
I hope this service on lament serves you and the elders in your care in a hopeful, helpful way.
Peace be with you,
