I know some people may say it's the persons mind changing as they get closer to death. When they start seeing people we don't see, as well as, talking to them. I though 100% believe that it's God's way of comforting them, getting them ready to be with Him.
The last 2 weeks before my best friend's mom passed away, she started to speak to people that we could not see. Many days she talked to them more than she talked to us. When we asked her who they were, if she knew them, she would say no. Toward the last few days of her life there were some she knew.
The last word she spoke before turning her head to the side not to wake up again was "Charles is here." Charles was her husband and Pat's dad, who went to be with the Lord 2 ½ years before. The Lord blessed her with seeing her husband of 64 ½ years coming to help bring her home. How awesome is that! I believe God blesses many with this and if I see even half the people she saw when I am passing I would feel very blessed.
Words cannot express what heaven is like, there are no words that can come close. Our mind cannot comprehend no matter how hard we try what it will be like. God tells us in His Word, John 14:2 "In My Father's house are many dwelling places. If it were not so, I would have told you, because I am going there to prepare a place for you." A cabin where I could see mountains in the distance would be awesome for me.
God has blessed me with trips to heaven a few times. He also blessed me with getting to see my mom being escorted into heaven when she passed away. What I saw, the vision, was awesome! I will never forget it the rest of my life. To see her walking into heaven with Jesus beside her, was amazing and I know one day I will get to join her in heaven. Until that day comes though, I will continue to thank the Lord for loving me, showing me His awesome grace, mercy, and His forgiveness.
John 14:2 "In My Father's house are many dwelling places. If it were not so, I would have told you, because I am going there to prepare a place for you."
