Sometimes all you need to do to start your day off on the right foot, it to start it with a thankful heart. It's simple really and takes only 5-10 minutes to sit down in a quiet space and make a small list of things you are thankful for. Although our lists could be abundant and we all have more then a handful of things to be thankful for. I'll share my first 10 that come to mind. If you feel so obliged, share your top 10 in the comment section.
- I am now officially getting paid $2 more per hour then I was when I started working. This was unexpected and in today's world, every little bit helps.
- Hugs, kisses and "I love You's" from my girls before they got on the bus in the morning.
- The dinner date I have to look forward tonight with my sister.
- A good night's sleep.
- Thinking about how a friend dropped off coffee for me yesterday afternoon after a very cold shift at work. It puts a smile on my face thinking that I was thought about.
- Time to open my bible this morning and do my daily devotional.
- The feeling of our living room now that it is decorated for Christmas. It makes it feel warm, cozy, relaxing and inviting.
- A new month.
- Christmas cards in the mail. I love sending ours and receiving others. It puts a smile on my face.
- Etta had her flu shot and her Covid Booster (AMEN!) and the aftermath has been pretty smooth sailing, minus some sore legs.
