After a long day of moving and cleaning, Monday was our first night in our new home. It's Thursday now and we've still got plenty of boxes to unpack and things to get situated in our house, but things are coming together nicely. We had a rain storm the other night - even a tornado warning went off from our security system - and I've yet to go out and pick up the sticks and debris that fell into the yard. I've got lots to do today and plenty to keep me busy until the wife gets back from work.
We sat down to eat at our kitchen table Tuesday evening, and I looked over at my wife with tears in my eyes, pointing out all the ways we've seen God's mighty hand move in our favor. We've seen the Lord provide in such unexpected ways, and have seen Him do the impossible. He continues to meet all of our needs, and we can't praise Him enough for His blessings! Thank You Heavenly Father!!
The in-laws found a really nice desk for me on the side of the road the other day, and it fits nicely in my office. Aside from a crack on one of the drawers, it's in perfect condition, and will fit all of my writing needs just fine! The Lord also blessed us with some drinking glasses that we picked up from a local Christian thrift store yesterday, and they're pretty fancy. On top of that, I got a practically brand-spankin-new copy of The Batman (2022), that was only $2.99! Jesus even meets those small little desires we have doesn't He? Sure does! We're still on the lookout for a washer, dryer, bed, and a few other things, but it's only a matter of time until God meets those needs and wants too. If you'd pray for us about that, that would be wonderful thanks!
It's only because of Jesus that we have everything we need! Because He's a good Father, He gives good gifts to His children for He cares for us and those needs, wants, and desires that we have. With Christ, it's safe to say that we hurt for absolutely nothing! Philippians 4:19 says, "And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus." 2 Peter 1:3 even goes on to remind us that, "His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness."
There's still struggles and hard times we'll face, but because we know Him as Lord and Savior, we have nothing to fear! We lack nothing because of Him who loves us. Psalm 34:10 says, "The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing." He will provide for you if you're faithful and obedient to Him too! So seek Him, and live for Jesus today!
Thank You Jesus for how You love us so perfectly, and that with You, we'll never lack any good thing! Thank You for meeting our needs, and for doing a new thing in our hearts and lives! Let everything we do bring praise, honor, and glory to Your precious and so holy name O God! We praise You for Your faithfulness, blessings, and magnificent mercy and grace! May Your will be done and Your kingdom come, here on earth just as it is in Heaven! It's in Jesus' name we pray, AMEN!!
