Which one are you? If you have ever watched a young child when music is played, they start to move to the music. I believe it was put in us before we were born. There is something about music, it touches our very soul. There are many places in the Bible that speaks about people dancing and about playing music. They did it from the heart, to praise, worship and give thanks to the Lord, not to be seen by others.
"David danced before the Lord with all his might." (2 Samuel 6:14).
Miriam the prophetess and other women also danced before the Lord. "Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women went out after her with tambourines and dancing." (Exodus 15:20).
It's a way to worship and praise the Lord. "Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations." (Psalm 100:1-5).
