'Parklife' is a short play by the Chorlton Good Neighbours Drama Group. It is a comedy, but one with a message about the threat to community green spaces. The facilitator for this project was Peter Gibson, an experienced actor, but the play itself was devised and performed by an enthusiastic cast of CGN members.
Here are some photos and links to a video from Parklife's performance at Chorlton Good Neighbours on Thursday Sep 29th 2022. It was great fun to watch and to act in, and the ending, with the singing of the spiritual, "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands", by Louise Green, brought the house down
A Placard against the selling off of the park
Susan, in the role of a reporter, questions locals as to why they
are protesting about the proposal to turn the park into a golf course
