Yesterday I had two adventures. The first was my once every eight week infusion. I got there early but was not taken early but on the other hand I wasn't taken late. I must have angered the infusion chair placement gods; I had a manual chair in the corner in a crowded space and without a side table. I can't blame Wendy the nurse who cared for me. She apologized for my placement. I don't really care. I just sit there, play on my phone, listen to music or podcasts, and often nap. The only bad part of the infusion is the investment in time, two hours traveling and two hours at the center. The infusion takes only 30 minutes. Entyvio is a biologic and can't be stored, it must be made fresh, and they don't start until my arrival. It's expensive so they don't want to risk making it for a no-show.

A side benefit of the infusions is that it's across the street from an inexpensive bagel bakery. There are no bagel bakeries of any sort near where I live so I buy half a dozen and freeze. After the infusion and bagel purchase, I went straight home on two buses and made myself a peanut butter on bagel sandwich. That's always a treat. There was a time that I ate that every day. There was a time I had two every day. That led to there being a time where I weighed 65 lbs more than I do now. I just realized they didn't weigh me yesterday. I always look forward to that.

After eating I was off on my second adventure, picking up my camping gear from Fred out on Long Island. It lives in his basement as I only use it when we go to Falcon Ridge. This year I need it to go to the Black Bear Festival which Fred can't attend. That meant another long trip, subway to Penn Station then LIRR to Rockville Centre. Fred met me at the station with my gear. We talked for a bit then I headed home on the next train back to Penn Station. My travel time to activity time ratio was quite large yesterday; good thing I enjoy or at least don't mind traveling. On the way there I finally checked out the now complete Moynihan Train Station including the food court. I had already eaten but during basketball season I might want to grab dinner there. The best option seemed to be the Burger Joint. That's it's actual name. I got a cappuccino from one of the many places that sell them.

When I got home, I sent in Gord's Gold which I had recorded the night before. I still get a kick out of putting a show together. My basic procedure it to start with a song that I want to play and then to find related songs to play with it. Sometimes it's an entire set on a theme, sometimes it's just one related song. They can be related by topic, keyword, sound, or history. The important thing is that most songs are connected to another song on the show. Do listeners appreciate that? Do they notice it? I suspect that they can appreciate it without noticing it; they just enjoy the flow.

Oh, I forgot the best part of the day. Not long after I got home, I watch NASA TV. The DART (Double Asteroid Redirection Test) spacecraft slam into the asteroid. Dimorphos. The purpose was to test if they could affect its orbit. In the future that technology can be used to deflect an asteroid heading towards the earth. The dinosaurs didn't have that technology and look what happened to them. They could have developed it, they had over 100 million years to prepare but one of the political parties wouldn't fully fund the space program as they called asteroid impacts a hoax. Good thing humans don't do things like that. You can watch it now. You should.

I found out today that there was a small CubeSat following DART that took pictures of the impact. The CubeSat is so small and low powered that it's going to take weeks to transmit the pictures. I can't wait to see it. Sure, I know how the movie will end but I heard the special effects make it look real, just not as real as CGI.

Tonight, I'm off to the Met game which means little sleep tonight. I better have a better night's sleep than I did last night. My digestive system kept waking me up.

I have some anxiety, good thing that I have therapy tomorrow. I wish I still had my old therapist. I'm going to have to explain things to the new one. My mind is in multiple spaces, some good and some bad. A diagram of my mind would look like a fractal.
