Thinking Beyond the Box

I was at a trade show but it had not opened there yet. I was promoting a volleyball club. I blinked and then I was helping Erik Johnson build his booth using the Force. He had a wood framework and was taking an old door and nailing it down for a roof. His whole setup was built like entrenchments in case he was attacked by other vendors--in which case he would be ready.

I was driving and suddenly it was icy and my car couldn't go uphill anymore, so it started slipping backwards until I was stopped by a red light--because the red light took precedence over the ice. Finally I got out of the car and it was sunny because it was at a resort. That's when I found Taylor H. (VB alum) who told me Brenna P. (VB alum) broke up with her boyfriend after 20 years together...I had no idea she had a boyfriend or that they'd dated since she was 3. [Brenna is actually 26-27 in real life currently...]

I was at a prototype convention for boardgames looking for my friend Dave who found a 'really cool game' about history. He told me to look for a game about a historical woman that had a green board and pink spaces. I found one with that description and sat down with the designer and realized it was horrible instantly--and that EVERY designer had done their games with green boards and pink spaces and about women and that looking around, tables to play at stretched out to infinity.

I was in my grandparents house and I was really warm at the east end of the main room. I got up to find someplace cooler when Papa reached behind his chair and was bringing a portable air-conditioner for me to use. I didn't want that and told him so because he needed to stay cool, too, so I put it back behind his chair and sat on that end of the room.
