Waiting in line - after searching and comparing, he's finally settled on his 50 inch television - smart and thin (unlike so many of us) and he is excited checking the specs on the box again and again and then another appears in the next line pushing his larger cart with a 65 inch television and they see each other and quickly study each other's specs printed and proud, and in that one moment so much changes - Nice. Good deal? The 50 asks the 65 only to hear - not great, and the modesty is pure kindness but it doesn't stop the envy-thick air as each line moves forward and just like that they're strangers once more, one satisfied and one trying to be.
