Many had fallen as the advancement continued. They fought many battles and the scars, there were many. There were tears shed, pain felt, and for some, their heart felt like it was being torn into shreds. The attacks came from every direction and in every way. The enemy knew if they were not stopped, they could do serious damage to his plans. So, satan went all out, hitting them, their family, and their friends. In time, some grew tired of the constant battles and lowered their head. The enemy saw it and a smile came upon his face. "Oh yes, I took another down!" he said out loud but then the smirk was soon wiped of his face. Something was happening and he didn't like it a bit.
As others continued to advance, continued to take ground, they saw those who had fallen. They stopped and did what warriors do. They reached down and helped those who had fallen up. They gave them something to drink and food to eat. They stood there with them as the warrior gained their strength. Then they continued on the journey that was set before them. The once fallen warrior now was back, determined more than ever to make the enemy pay for what he did.
Who are these people, the ones satan hates so much? They are warriors, God warriors, those whose eyes are focused only on God. They don't look at man to get them to where they are being called, they look to God. Their eyes are focused on the path before them, a path they know that will not be easy. They know what needs to be done and they will not be stopped. They will not fail to do that which God has called them to do.
Psalm 144:1-2 "Blessed be the Lord, my Rock and my great strength, who trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle; My [steadfast] loving kindness and my fortress, my high tower and my rescuer, my shield and He in whom I take refuge."
2 Corinthians 10:3-4 "For though we walk in the flesh, we are not carrying on our [spiritual] warfare according to the flesh and using the weapons of man. The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses."
