“In Roman times the Star Wisdom had been lost. Julian the “Apostate” tried to reintroduce it, but he was murdered. The advent of Christ brought the ancient Star Religion to life again — but in a new form — teaching that the Sun God must now have his place upon the Earth, accessible to all of humanity, not just the initiates. But those in power denounced this as superstition — & not only as superstition but as a creed of the devil. People were expected to believe only in the external, historical event of the presence of Christ Jesus in Palestine — in the form in which the Church proclaimed it. Consequently, the Church became the supreme authority in the matter of how & what people should think, which ignored the whole cosmic setting of the Easter event. Julian ‘the Apostate’ maintained that in Christianity men should be taught: Christ came from the Sun, and then, as Sun Being, entered into the man Jesus. The Churches did not wish this knowledge to be in the possession of men. The Churches did not want the real facts about Christ Jesus to come to light, but only such knowledge as was authorised by them”. ~Rudolf Steiner, Star Wisdom, Moon Religion, Sun Religion - Given to workers at the Goetheanum in Dornach March 13, 1924 Dear Freinds - I am off to Camphill Kimberton where my New Mystery Drama: Soul Excursion - makes its premier as a Readers Theatre - Thursday 24 April 2025 in Rose Hall starting at 7pm with original Harp music by Jessica Schaeffer - as part of my graduating Anthroposophical PsychoSophy Retreat - Come on by - All are Welcome! I’ll be back in the Heart-land for the CrossQuarter celebrations (see below) ~hag TODAY is Easter Monday, also known as Bright Monday, Renewal Monday, Wet Monday, or Dyngus Day. Various cultures observe Easter Monday. For some, it is a solemn remembrance of Christ’s death & resurrection marked by an outdoor procession. For others, there are Easter egg-rolling competitions. For still others, siblings or spouses wake each other up by pouring buckets of water on each other (ie. “Wet Monday”). There are also celebrations with a large gathering & a polka festival (Dyngus Day). In the United States in the early nineteenth century, Dolly Madison, the wife of the 4th American President, organized an egg roll in Washington, D.C. She had been told that Egyptian children used to roll eggs against the pyramids so she invited the children of Washington to roll hard-boiled eggs down the hilly lawn of the new Capitol building! The custom continued, except for the years during the Civil War. In 1880, the First Lady invited children to the White House for the Egg Roll because officials had complained that they were ruining the Capitol lawn. It has been held there ever since then, only cancelled during times of war. The event has grown, & today Easter Monday is the only day of the year when tourists are allowed to wander over the White House lawn. The wife of the President sponsors it for the children of the entire country. The egg rolling event is open to children 12 years old & under. Adults are allowed only when accompanied by children! Do you think the current administration will continue this good spirited tradition today? “In Roman times the Star Wisdom had been lost. Learn from storyteller-wisdom keeper-interdenominational minister Hazel Archer Ginsberg about the Celtic tradition of Bealtaine and how other ancient cultures revered these seasonal markers in the Cycle of the Seasons. We will offer gratitude and blessings to the land, soil, plants, and all those that care for and steward the earth and its animals by making and applying biodynamic farm preparations to enliven and restore the soil. We will learn about Bridget’s Gardens, its permaculture design plans and participate in planting perennial native wildflowers, black currants, red osierdogwoods, willows, and elderberries. Come plant with us and take some home too! Clark Stamm (Acting Director of Bridget Center, Permaculturist, and Artist), and Angela Curtes (Grounded LLC and fellow Bridget Center Mission Circle member) will facilitate these activities.
