This morning, Maggie Watson of Ephemeral Encounters fame posted a lovely review of my debut poetry book, Ariel's Song: Published Poems, 1987 - 2023, on her blog. I'm pleased and honored to share it with you here.
How Maggie describes herself:
"I am Maggie Watson, an Indie Poet and Author from Scotland. My poetry journey began at the start of the pandemic in 2020. At that point, I had no idea it would then become such a big part of my life. We can all agree that those years were very difficult, and I found the 'lockdowns' particularly hard. So I began putting pen to paper, merely to get my sense of isolation and frustration down on paper.
Fast forward to December 2020 and The Madness of Corona was published (by a publishing house)."
Since then, Maggie has released Me and My Shadow, Once Upon a Time, A Jar of Stars, In the Shadow of My Pen: A Collection of Poetry and Prose, and most recently, Ephemeral Encounters (Her Book of Words).
On Wednesday, I will post my review of Ephemeral Encounters (Her Book of Words).
Maggie's Review:
"For a debut collection of poetry, Dawn has shown any aspiring poet the way to do it. Ariel's Song is a brilliantly curated collection of her work. This collection will certainly keep you enthralled. The stand outs for me were "Melissa and the Angels", "Murder House", "Christ's Sorrow", "Hold Onto That Dream", and "When The Morning Comes". Dawn has covered every emotion. . ."

And thank you, Maggie, for your lovely review!
