I'm working on a daily basis, though I don't know if I mentioned it much… to learn French.
Part of what I do involves listening to Celine Dion, who is my absolutely favorite singer. I was overjoyed to see her performance recently.
Today, I did several duolingo lessons to "freshen" up what I know. And… I started reading the Bible in French. Now, with the English version on the bed in front of me and listening to/ reading the French verse by verse… I'm starting to pick up even more words.
I told a friend today though that since I'm learning two… I guess "Romance Languages," I'm starting to be able to understand what's being said in either language, but responding in the wrong one.
Do I say: Je parle francais? Or Yo hablo espanol?
Do I say: Commet ca va? Or Como estas?
I'm fine, you? Ca va bien, y toi? Estoy bien, y tu?
I think I need a separate notebook for the Spanish.
Because I want to be able to have brief conversations, I'm attempting to re~learn one language (potentially two) and learn 3 new languages.
… That's it, I guess!
Merci, Gracias, Mamnun!
