Banyan Group Unveils Luxurious Banyan Tree Veya in Valle De Guadalupe, Mexico

By Irone Kim on July 31, 2024

The Banyan Group has proudly announced the grand opening of Banyan Tree Veya, Valle de Guadalupe, a luxurious wellbeing resort nestled in Mexico's picturesque wine country. Just a 90-minute drive from the U.S. border, this marks the first standalone property under the Group's dedicated wellbeing brand, Banyan Tree Veya, offering a serene retreat for those seeking connection and rejuvenation.

Architectural Marvel and Scenic Splendor

Designed by renowned Mexican architect Michel Rojkind with interiors by smArq Arquitectura, Banyan Tree Veya blends seamlessly into the rolling hills of Valle de Guadalupe. Spread across 16 acres in Baja California, the resort features 30 bespoke villas, each with private plunge pools. The property also boasts an ethnobotanical garden and a private winery dedicated exclusively to Grenache, setting a new standard for gastronomy in the region.

Luxurious Accommodations

Each villa epitomizes modern luxury, equipped with private plunge pools, wine bars, luxurious bathrooms, fireplaces, and exterior terraces. Panoramic windows offer uninterrupted views of the stunning landscape, while interiors feature elegant furniture crafted from dehydrated Tzalam wood from Mexico's southern forests. Guests can enjoy high-end amenities designed for wellbeing, including yoga mats, floating weights, and mindfulness aids. A standout offering is the Winemaker's Three-bedroom Pool Villa, perfect for groups of up to six guests.

Holistic Wellbeing Experiences

Banyan Tree Veya's wellbeing experiences are centered around the Group's '8 Pillars of Wellbeing', providing a holistic approach to wellness. Personalized itineraries are created through pre-arrival consultations with experts, including Spa Manager Heriberto Peña. The Veya Spa offers four treatment rooms, a Desert Spring hydrotherapy room, a Vitality Fitness Studio, meditation and sound healing spaces, and two hilltop pools. Treatments combine Asian and local indigenous rituals, utilizing homemade products from Veya Pharm and the property's garden.

The resort also features a traditional Mexican temazcal (house of heat) ritual, led by a local Temazcalero, guiding guests through deep breathing exercises, meditative chants, and drumming before entering a dome with hot stones and medicinal plants for a transformative experience.

Culinary Excellence and Event Spaces

Under the direction of Food and Beverage Manager Fernando Labra Degante, Banyan Tree Veya's seven culinary concepts emphasize healthy, locally sourced ingredients. The resort provides a unique venue for weddings and events, with state-of-the-art facilities and curated activities that highlight the valley's culture. From intimate elopements to large gatherings, an Events Manager offers exceptional packages, utilizing spaces like the 1,484 square foot Terrace and Pictograma Winery.

Convenient Accessibility

Located in northern Baja California, Banyan Tree Veya is the Banyan Group's fifth property in Mexico and is accessible via San Diego or Tijuana International Airport. Rates for the resort start at $599 per night USD, offering an unparalleled experience in the heart of Valle de Guadalupe.
