I know there are others of His choosing. I heard it very clearly. God said to me "You're due for a promotion." I had no idea what He meant by those words. I said, "I don't understand." He replied "You've been stuck now it's time to advance." I still wasn't sure what He was saying to me. I had no idea that was even talked about in the Bible, the word promotion. What that promotion exactly is I am not sure of, but God knows and that's all that matters. He will reveal it in His time.
I decided to see if there was something in the Bible about it. What I learned by reading some things on a few Christian sites is that the Bible tells us God is the source of promotion, not man. God promotes people of His choosing through a process of maturation that places them in areas where they can be promoted. It can be in the form of different things.
It's believed that the promotion comes from where God is observing peoples actions and reactions to things to determine if the person is ready. He watches how they treat others, responds to pressure and if they stay on the path even when distractions come. He also considers how people did on previous assignments.
I am not sure what He has in mind with this promotion and that's okay. Whatever it is, since its coming through, from and by Him, I know it will be a chance for me to grow in Him even more. I don't know who else He is promoting but I know it's coming for those that He chooses, not man.
"This I know: the favor that brings promotion and power doesn't come from anywhere on earth, for no one exalts a person but God, the true judge of all. He alone determines where favor rests. He anoints one for greatness and brings another down to his knees." Psalm 75:7.
