How do you practice self-care?
Since we've talked about a lot of general strategies for 'self-care' before, here's one specific newish thing:
I'm writing this at 10 am, and only because I work up early enough to be ready for work at 11 am. This still gives me time to meditate. Yesterday, I responded to the prompt in the morning, no idea what time.
I've loosened up regarding the way I started off responding (wake up and read, respond almost right away), which was great but more fitting for a person with a fixed schedule.
Sometimes I'll do things that way, but other days I place responding in the "if the time to arises naturally" category, like today. Or, if I feel like writing and don't have a particular topic, I'll look ahead and write ahead. Usually I'll then post that when I wake up.
Anyway, it's a little shift but is bringing back my joy for this. 🙂
