I had a dream the other night. I saw Pat, she was in front of me but to my left. She started walking toward me and then turned walking past me. That's when I noticed she had something in her right hand. It was a lantern. It was not just any lantern, but this one was shining brightly. The light coming from it was a beautiful blue. Inside the lantern it was like thousands of sparkly pieces of blue moving all around in the lantern. I have never seen a blue like what was in the lantern. She walked past me than turn to her left, walking forward. She then came to a stop, she was standing beside a woman, right next to her. She still had the lantern in her right hand. The dream than stop.
I knew Pat was helping the woman who she walked up to, helping her to heal and come to know Gods grace. We never know when God will call us to help, to pray or speak to someone. Many are in need of a healing and so many don't believe they deserve Gods grace. I know by the lantern and the color of the light coming from it that Pat was carrying that she was meant to be there to help the woman. God was calling her forward.
I have watched and heard Pat encourage many over the years. Some were friends and there were others she did not know. One of her God given gifts/talents is being an encourager. She is that for sure! One thing I know about Pat is it has never been about her, it's always about the Lord and helping others. Like Pat may we all keep our lanterns lit and may we never miss an opportunity to help another.
Blue is accredited with being the color of God's healing and grace. We should always be ready "Be dressed and ready for active service and keep your lamps continuously burning." (Luke 12:35).
