Daily Bible Reading: Job 14-16, Acts 9:22-43
Job 14:1-4 (NKJV) "Man who is born of woman Is of few days and full of trouble. He comes forth like a flower and fades away; He flees like a shadow and does not continue. And do You open Your eyes on such a one, And bring me to judgment with Yourself? Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? No one!
Job 16:19-21 (KJV) Also now, behold, my witness is in heaven, and my record is on high. My friends scorn me: but mine eye poureth out tears unto God. O that one might plead for a man with God, as a man pleadeth for his neighbor!
Job 16:19-21 (AMP) Even now, behold, my Witness is in heaven, and He who vouches for me is on high. My friends scorn me, but my eye pours out tears to God. Oh, that there might be one who would plead for a man with God and that he would maintain his right with Him, as a son of man pleads with or for his neighbor! [1 Tim 2:5]
Saul Escapes Death
Acts 9:23-25 NKJV Now after many days were passed, the Jews plotted to kill him. But their plot became known to Saul. And they watched the gates day and night, to kill him. Then the disciples took him by night and let him down through the wall in a large basket.[1]
