The wind rustles through the trees outside—and the song of the birds drifts through my open window.
I huddle under my warm fuzzy blanket and let the blessed rest of Sunday flood my heart with happiness.
Have you ever thought about how birds can't seem to stop themselves from singing in the morning?
What if we'd be like that?
What if the first thing I did each morning was lift my voice in song to my Creator?
Okay, yeah, you're right—it would probably sound like a croaking frog if it was the first thing I did with my morning voice…
But still.
What if…
What if I woke every morning with a heart bursting with gratitude for everything that God has done for me?
What if I was overflowing every morning with the passionate desire to tell you everything that God has done for you?
What if I was so overflowing with God's love that the thought of Him made me smile every morning?
What if I let that love change how I talk… how I love… how I interact with and serve each person in my life?
Maybe my morning voice wouldn't raise a very glorious song of praise to my Redeemer… but maybe my life can raise that song each morning as I choose Him… choose service… choose love—for both the lovable and unlovable—because that is what God chose when He chose to love all of me.
