To begin our learning about fractions we started to think about whole and parts.
We used the stem sentence to help us. We worked with our partners to think of our own examples. Can you think of one of your own?
If ________________ is the whole, then _______________ is part of it.
We then had a go at cutting some paper shapes into parts. At the end of the lesson we began to think about equal and unequal parts.
