Over the weekend, the Symphony Orchestra and Choral Society were rehearsing for the upcoming Choral and Orchestral Concerts and Symphony Hall concert; in which the programme includes The Rite of Spring by Igor Stravinsky, Shostakovich's first violin concerto, and John Rutter's Gloria. Other highlights included the tradition of the barn dance and inflatable challenge, and the Sixth Form prank, which this year involved nearly 3000 balloons covering the surface area of the rehearsal hall! Overall, it was a weekend full of music and full of fun. Thank you to all those who were involved in running the trip.
