We gathered some qualitative data by interviewing a member of staff about the food in school and discovered that it isn't locally sourced due to costs. We then looked at the food available in a local green grocer and discovered that there is a small selection of local foods. After all this, we got together and discussed the pros and cons of buying local food and buying imported food. We came to the conclusion that we need to buy a bit of both, but it's important to ask ourselves where our food is from, is it traded fairly and how will it impact the environment.
