For once, my title is depressingly accurate. I have no clue when it happened, but when I got in the car today, I noticed that someone had left a candy on the floor and also a bit of trash on my passenger side.
I'm upset about the fact that someone broke into my car (for the THIRD time…) and did that, but I am very grateful that they didn't break my glass.
Two Saturdays back (January 20th), a friend of mine was carjacked as she tried to get into her home.
It was an adolescent. He came up behind her and told her she had thirty seconds…
Then he took off with her car. Thankfully, it was recovered with (I hope) not extensive damage. And it was drivable.
The nonchalance that people have in this location is why I got off the Ring app. When I expressed my disgust over all of the theft, most specifically package theft… and the violence and how it made it uncomfortable to stay here, someone commented, telling me that as a "transplant," I needed to just move right back out.
I explained to whoever that was that I've lived in this area for over 30 years… and I've never seen such violence and disregard for the safety of others. I then explained that if they were a "transplant" in the last 10 years, that maybe they and others like them need to leave.
And not come back.
I can guess maybe that was a woman, because of the nail painting emoji they used.
There were people bragging on there about stealing over $600 worth of seafood. A person said they knew who it was but weren't going to say anything.
I asked them why did you mention that you knew the woman who stole at all? They stated that when I went to cookouts with friends, there was likely stolen food there.
Heh… I told her, "Not with the kinds of friends I have. I don't make friends with thieves."
And it's true. My friends and I pay for food when we're out. If it's for a cookout, everyone knows what everyone else bought and/or cooked and brought there.
I got out of the Ring and Neighbors app.
The people are way too…
I don't even know how to rudely or politely comment on how disappointed I am.
So less stressed when
Played some Sims 4 tonight.
Now am played out.
Back to Intervention and Hoarders.
