There are people who have what you could call gutsy faith. They really are those who will go the extra mile and even two to show GOD'S love for people, whatever that may be. They have truly lost their life.......to find it just as CHRIST said:
MATTHEW 10: 39 "WHOEVER FINDS THEIR LIFE WILL LOSE IT, AND WHOEVER LOSES THEIR LIFE FOR MY SAKE WILL FIND IT."
When we identify with JESUS, we abandon our very own beliefs and HIS become ours so much so that we aren't the same person we were before JESUS. Dying to self will is a hard thing. It's something only the Spirit can make happen within.
Those with gutsy faith are marked by courage and determination. They do what others won't do for the sake of CHRIST. And they also stand valiant for the faith. They are outspoken with CHRIST as their only goal.
Do you know someone with gutsy faith? Or maybe you think I have some of this, this boldness for the ONE who saved my life. But some people are more outgoing than others......it's just the way we are made.
But every day we have the unique ability to interact with the world that is different because we have the FATHER'S heart and we have HIS word. We have all of HIS wisdom to live a life for others!
LUKE 16:13 "NO SERVANT CAN SERVE TWO MASTERS; FOR EITHER HE WILL HATE THE ONE AND LOVE THE OTHER, OR ELSE HE WILL BE LOYAL TO THE ONE AND DESPISE THE OTHER."
Those with gutsy faith love only one thing above all they know.........JESUS CHRIST. HE is always on their mind, in their sights and their lives are a testament to sacrificial love.
Sacrificial love and sacrificial giving go hand in hand. Sacrifice can be a hard thing, but when we have abandoned ourselves, knowing HE will supply all we really need, then the worries of this world fall away so we can focus on those around us. Our hearts are so changed that they really aren't ours anymore........because they are HIS.
1 PETER 3: 15 "........BUT IN YOUR HEARTS HONOR CHRIST THE LORD AS HOLY, ALWAYS BEING PREPARED TO MAKE A DEFENSE TO ANYONE WHO ASKS YOU FOR A REASON FOR THE HOPE THAT IS IN YOU; YET DO IT WITH GENTLENESS AND RESPECT."
Oh, the HOPE that is in us! JESUS is our only HOPE! It is by HIS grace that we have HIS SPIRIT and this spirit is not timid........
2 TIMOTHY 1: 7 "FOR THE SPIRIT GOD GAVE US DOES NOT MAKE US TIMID, BUT GIVES US POWER, LOVE AND SELF-DISCIPLINE."
Sometimes you just come to the end of yourself, hand over all your dreams and desires and tell JESUS to just remake you to be more like HIM.......whatever that looks like!
It takes guts and courage to do, but HE desires our hearts and wants to remake them into HIS image, not ours. So today let our prayer be for that gutsy faith that HE supplies with HIS power and grace. We really don't know what that looks like, but it will come when we ask and it will be to HIS will for us since HE knows us better than anyone!
Let HIS change in you go deep........hand over all of you, no more pretending in HIS presence, no more wanting to be like someone else, but let HIM have all of you. Surrender today and watch and see GOD work, within you and around you! Abandon yourself to HIM fully.......yield and abide and you will become over time your best self........in CHRIST! And that is quite gutsy!
EPHESIANS 1: 18-19 "HAVING THE EYES OF YOUR HEARTS ENLIGHTENED, THAT YOU MAY KNOW WHAT IS THE HOPE TO WHICH HE HAS CALLED YOU, WHAT ARE THE RICHES OF HIS GLORIOUS INHERITANCE IN THE SAINTS, AND WHAT IS THE IMMEASURABLE GREATNESS OF HIS POWER TOWARD US WHO BELIEVE, ACCORDING TO THE WORKING OF HIS GREAT MIGHT......."
