I am posting this to remind each of us of something. When we stay still, when we become stagnate, when we no longer look to receive the fresh oil of the Lord upon our lives, that is not a good thing. He wants to send a fresh filing of the Holy Spirit, for the season we are going into.
Joel 2:19 tells us, "The Lord will answer and say to His people, "Behold, I am going to send you grain and new wine and oil, and you will be satisfied in full with them."
Psalm 92:10 says, "I am anointed with fresh oil."
When we receive fresh oil, it brings transformation, which means we replaced that which was worn and receive a newness in God. There was nothing wrong with yesterday's oil but it's time for an oil change. The challenges of yesterday are gone, today is a new day and for the season coming, we need fresh oil. When you are anointed with fresh oil it means to propel someone to and through the new season ahead.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." (2 Corinthians 5:17).
I am ready and want all that He has for me! "I do not consider that I have made it my own yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead. I press on toward the goal to win the [heavenly] prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 3:13-14).
