To be transformed means to have been changed in an important way. Or to change in character or condition.
It seems that part of life should always include some type of transformation. We should always be looking to do better and become something more.
A few weeks ago my wife and I saw the play Cinderella. In that story, Cinderella becomes transformed from a servant in rags to the princess or Queen (depending on the version).
However, for Cinderella the transformation is really only an external one. It was all based on what people saw on the outside. The people of that town couldn't see past the clothes.
But sometimes we have to change what's inside of us.
In Romans 12:2 Paul says "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
Now that's a transformation! To not be swayed by the things of this world, but look to a higher, eternal, and more perfect way.
This type of transformation takes the companionship of God and Jesus Christ to be part of the equation. This is not about an external transformation, but something deep inside our soul. Something that will last eternally.
So how do we transform? How do we change to become more like Jesus?
We become what we want to be by consistently being what we want to become each day

Transformation may mean learning something new, doing away with a bad habit, or repenting. It may take work and may include help from others.
We do this one day at a time…step by step…and aligning our will to the perfect will of God.
