(August 28 - 10:25 a.m.)
Gonna close up shop here at the library rite soonishly. Got thunderstorm activity supposedly coming in maybe two hours and I do know of several fly-away-able things needing picking up...so far as the weatehrenerds draw Sanford will be right on the southern (right-hand side) of what is expected to be a hurricane come Tuesday-Wednesday, with a Category 3 label at landfall on the nearby Est Coast of our peninsula.
Things could - and almost always do - change over the next few days. I have water bottles to fill, dishes to wash - and perhaps me too - and prayers and chants to concoct and solicit. If the "I" storm - I am quit with the correct and varied-sex names for tropical storms/hur (her- and him?)-ricanes as of early this morning as I sat to put pen to notebook. A slight jog puts Snaffurd (Not always in jest name I concocted for Sanford, - a fools' feast - Florida).
As an aside: Christina, put the old soup-n-sammich kitchen up for sale, same the deli and haberdashery and tell any who ask: "Give me a good offer and take this city's foolishhness and point me to DeLand or Winter Park or better yet somewhere in German-settled Texas with Comanche for neighbors. That may not scare the stupid, and none can say "Napolelon" Bonaparte getting a city manager's jo0b with a week-willed crowd of bosses ever could be called stupid: just perhaps criminally unsane or at best with Der Major Mayor Artie merely wish-wash with "ey"s attempted.
Back to weather or weather or not: ya'll be prepared. Be safe. And why fill water jugs: Sanford assures us our water is good and healthy. Yep. They sure do. I will use the tap to wash my tootsies and in case of breakable weather, go check the big box stores and see how the shelves do run.
Bye, y'all.
