Our Diocesan Vision Statement
We are called to be a Catholic diocese which is faithful to the mission entrusted to us by Jesus Christ, full of mis sionary disciples who work co-responsibly in vibrant communities of faith, joyful in their service of God and neigh bour.
Archbishop Bernard has asked us to reflect together as a parish on the four elements of the Diocesan Vision– Evangelisation, Formation, Liturgy and Worship, Social Outreach. We will be seeking to create opportunities to do this in the months ahead. It seems to make sense that our two Parish Communities work together on this.

All are welcome. We hope you will join us.

MUSIC MINISTRY AT ENGLISH MARTYRS SUNDAY MASS: Since singing was reintroduced it has been very noticeable and pleasing to hear how well YOU the congregation join in each week with the hymns that have been chosen for the day.
We now feel that it is time to broaden the repertoire of music so we would be delighted to hear from any congregation members who would be willing to meet up on an occasional basis to ex plore learning some more less familiar hymns, and possibly learning a simple Mass setting.
There is no need for formal musical training, just an ability to sing and follow a tune. Please speak to either of the Church Organists or Fr Gerry for further information.
CONFESSION ,SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION It has been difficult to arrange a set time for Confession each week. Please feel free to contact Fr Gerry to arrange a time. He is usually availa ble before Mass on Saturdays at Sacred Heart and after Mass on Sunday at English Martyrs.
