Years ago, one of our friends told us when his daughter was very young, he began to pray for the man she would marry one day.
He said if she chose not to marry, it would be fine with him. But if she did marry, her husband would have been covered in prayer from his youth.
We thought that was a wonderful idea. So we began to do that too. We had no idea we were praying for a young boy who would be growing up far from us and having many experiences before meeting our daughter.
In God's timing, their journeys brought them to the same place. When we met him for the first time, we felt somehow we knew him already. In fact, we did. We had prayed for him.
June 30th we celebrate the anniversary of the first appearing on earth of our son in law who is also husband to our daughter and father of our adorable grandson.
We are very blessed to have Marlon in our family!
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
