There are times I am in awe and last night was one of them. When I told Pat what happened and read the verse to her, she giggled because I was so in awe of how amazing God works. She said something like, He does that a lot for you, it's not unusual." It was because of a dream from late Thursday night and a verse that God gave me twenty hours later that I was in awe.
I had a dream late Thursday night, and it was about me. I saw myself doing many things then I saw something in the distance. I walked up to it and saw it was a MIRROR. I stood there looking at myself and the dream ended. If you know me in the least bit you know I am not someone who is prideful or anything else. Looking into a mirror or taking a lot pictures of myself is just not me.
Now, to what happened last night, Friday at 8:00pm. I went to bed and tried to go to sleep but couldn't fall asleep, so I got up. I came into the living room and sat down. I quickly wrote down a vision He gave me when I first laid down, then I asked God what He would like me to read. This is where I shouldn't be in awe, it shouldn't surprise me, but it does just about every time.
God said, "2 Corinthians 3:18" but I read from verse twelve to eighteen and when I got to verse eighteen, that's when I was in such awe. Remember the MIRROR from the dream? Guess what word was in verse eighteen? "We all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a MIRROR the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into His image from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory, which comes from the Lord, [who is] the Spirit." I am so in awe of God! With all the verses in the Bible, and I hear that one. I had no idea whatsoever what that chapter, much less verse said.
May we all continue to be transformed into what He is wanting, not what we want. May our ways fall to the side and our will be let go of and may we become one step closer to Him each day. I pray you also have awe moments with Him. When there is no doubt that you know that you know you hear His voice.
