The city is only sweet at night, and early in the morning,
When the noise and chaos are stilled, and all sins are private,
In our closed off rooms.

I walk the once bohemian college neighborhood, just after five AM,
And it's quite and there are no cars, and the grey cats sulk bitterly,
It's the closest to peace I have.

A bright yellow and valiant dandelion sprouts through a broken sidewalk.
Humans can't beat back the wildness of the mother they scorn.
The death cult of Christianity will be reclaimed by her.
