I considered putting it in the post but given the context of the military connections I thought it might look all a bit to OMG! DEATH RAYS FROM SPACE! Having said that, the capacity to produce narrow and targetable rays of energy from orbit to the ground is, well, at least a little bit omg death rays from space but in a smaller font so we don't panic.
