I was battling for two people in my dreams a few nights back. I was inside their homes and fighting what was there. It's not unusual that God has me doing this in my dreams and some in visions. Most of them I do not know, have never met the person but God has me praying for them and sometimes fight for them.
In the first dream I was at someone's home, and it was a battle of all battles. I knew what evil presence had made itself at home and it did not want to leave. At times it made things fly off shelves at me. I just ducked and kept on praying. I laid hands on the walls and other things. I took command in Jesus name over it and many times during the dream, I quoted the Lord's prayer. It finally left after a strong battle.
I then had a second dream, again at someone's house. There was not only one but three evil presences at this home. I prayed, rebuked them and at one time the leader of the three tried to touch me. I quickly saw it and put it in its place. In time I was able, through Jesus, to rid the house of them. The thing was God showed me something after the battle. I was standing outside and watched as the three entered back into the home. The person said they wanted prayer and become free, but they really did not. They invited the three right back in the door of their home.
Some people have become comfortable with them, they have become like a security blanket. Some are scared to get rid of them because they are so used to having it around. You can rebuke the spirit, pray like crazy over and for them, but if they are not willing to let go, there is not much you can do. I have seen it with a few people we have prayed for over the last few years. I have seen evil presence mock those praying for them. I have seen some just repeat what someone was telling the person to say. I have also seen people freed from the evil that was attached to them. They had enough of walking in the darkness and wanted to walk in the light.
The battle is real, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places." (Ephesians 6:12).
