I was sitting on a bench in Walmart the other day waiting for Pat to see about eyeglasses. It wasn't long after sitting down that an older gentleman came up and sat down beside me. We sat there talking the whole time. I learned a lot about his life, and he learned some of mine. I mostly talked about God. We had a great talk and I enjoyed talking to him. I could tell that it meant a lot to him that someone talk to him and listened to him. I did not think about something until this morning though, who knows he could have been an angel. God tells us to "Not neglect to extend hospitality to strangers for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it."
Reach out to others, especially this time of year. Many no longer have family members or maybe their family lives a long way off. A few words spoken to someone, or just listening, can make someone's day.
